We are pleased to welcome Sem Ponnambalam to the Board of Directors of the Canadian International Professionals Association (CIPA). The organization describes itself as "a global, member-driven community focused on international opportunity, professional connection, and shared identity."
Ponnambalam brings over twenty years of experience in public and private sectors, including roles as senior advisor to Canadian Prime Ministers and Cabinet Ministers on trade policy and international relations. She has represented Canada at forums including the World Economic Forum and the G20 Youth Summit, with expertise in global policy, trade, and digital transformation.
Her accomplishments include co-authoring AI and cybersecurity governance manuals, developing over 30 advanced courses on topics ranging from AI to human trafficking prevention, and building partnerships with organizations like IBM, Red Hat, BlackBerry, and UN institutions.
She serves as Co-Founder and President of xahive and is a board leader with the MAPLE Business Council.
